Lucy Park was born in New York, New York on December 25, 1969.  She is the oldest of three children to Dr. Jaekil Park and Chung Ja Park. Lucy has two brothers, Richard and Fred, and is an Aunt to seven nephews and nieces.  

Lucy spent the great majority of her youth growing up in Saugerties, New York where her father had a medical practice.  Upon graduation, she attended Smith College in Massachusetts where she earned her Undergraduate Degree in World Religion. She furthered her education with a Master's Degree in Information Systems from Stony Brook University, on Long Island NY.

After starting her professional career in New York, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1998. There, she met Michael Walters in 1999, and they were married in April of 2000. Lucy and Michael have two sons, Carson (20) and Jake (18). Lucy was also a proud “Cat Mom” to Butterfingers, Bezzle, Whitepaws, and Casper.

In 2004, Lucy and Michael relocated to New York to be closer to her East Coast family. They ultimately moved from New York to Cary, North Carolina in 2006, where they have resided ever since.

Lucy has had a passion for real estate since her college days and worked professionally as a real estate agent in the Raleigh area.  

Lucy was a tireless learner and was passionate about topics like health and wellness, how to inspire others, and business. She was frequently reading and sharing information that she believed would help family and friends to live their best lives. Her work ethic is second to none but, above all, she truly felt fulfilled by helping others.

Sadly, Lucy Park passed away on October 22, 2021 at the age of 51.  

A Seonghwa Memorial will be held on Saturday, October 30 at 11:00 AM at the Triangle Family Church.
