Tithing
Tithing is a spiritual practice of putting God first. There are 3 types of tithing: 1) Financial tithing: giving 10% of your monthly income. 2) Time Tithing: volunteer support for your church community. 3) Holy Day Donations: an offering of gratitude on special days such as True Parent's Birthday, True Father's Seonghwa anniversary. Holy Items
Holy items help create a positive spiritual environment. Two common Holy items that Blessed Families use are: holy salt and holy candles. Holy salt is used to sanctify purchased items or living spaces. Holy candles are used to pray and also when celebrating Holy Days. Birth
There are two traditions surrounding the birth of a new baby. Birth candles, having others pray during the delivery of the baby. 7 days after the baby is born there is an 8 Day Ceremony where the parents acknowledge their baby as God's child.
