Diana Weber was born February 26, 1949 to parents Raynard Coe Swank and Ethel Louise Swank in Palo Alto, California where her father worked as the Director of the Library at Stanford University. She grew up with three older brothers (Damon, Marty, and Barry) in the faculty housing neighborhood and went to the university’s elementary school for faculty children. During childhood, she loved playing the violin and her family ventured on many outdoor activities like camping trips to the sand dune deserts in California, instilling in her a deep love of the beauty of nature.
As a college student, she joined the Unification Movement and performed years of public service in a sincere effort to bring love and peace to the world. In addition to many rallies, events, and church witnessing efforts, Diana worked for the International Coalition for Religious Freedom (ICRF) for over 15 years to help protect religious liberties for people around the world.
She was Blessed in marriage to Ken Weber on February 8, 1975 and they would go on to raise two children together. After 39 years of marriage, her husband Ken passed in January of 2014, after which she retired and moved to Alabama to be near her grandchildren.
Diana always had a warm, caring spirit and continually made time for people as an active member and elder in her community. She loved hosting events in her home, doing crafts and puzzles with her grandchildren, gardening and enjoying nature, and participating for years in a weekly prayer and healing circle.
Departing from this life on January 17, 2022, she leaves her brothers Marty and Barry, children Christina and Eric, daughter-in-law Coree, grandchildren Alyssa, Anna, and Luke, as well as extended family and an abundance of close friends to treasure her memory. She will be missed.
