After each Step, we want to encourage you to report back to your Matching Team about what you learned and experienced through the content.
Your “Matching Team” consists of anyone whom you want to work with to help you go through the Matching Process. It could be your parents, a Matching Supporter, a family member, or a community Aunt/Uncle. At this point, you might not know exactly who is on your team. And that’s okay! For now, just start a conversation with whoever is on your current team. In Step 4, you will have an opportunity to solidify your team.
It’s through constant Give & Take with the people on your team that allows you all to be on the same page throughout the entire process. Also, it will help you digest the content and solidify your values and understanding of the content.
Here are some ways to create Give & Take:
Hold a Zoom meeting (recommended)
Write a lengthy email
Send a lengthy group text
You can decide how you want to communicate. The important thing is to share openly and honestly about what you’re experiencing, and allowing them to receive it and give their response or advice. It might not be an easy conversation sometimes, but it’s really important to have these conversations throughout your process.
If you don’t have a team yet, it’s okay! We will guide you through assembling your team in another Step. For now, just be sure to report to someone whom you trust and respect to help you through your process of preparing for the Blessing.
