Pamela S. Sallah, 71, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026. Pamela was born June 17, 1954 in Iron River, MI to the late Robert Arnold and Everall Mae (Burnett) Carne. She relocated with her family to Roseburg, Oregon where she spent her childhood and teenage years alongside her older brother Bob and younger brother Bruce.

Pamela worked for many years as a nurse in various settings, most recently she served as a school nurse in Bridgeport. In her free time she enjoyed reading, playing cards, and took great pride in volunteering within her church community. Her greatest joy was found being with her family and her grandchildren.

Pamela joined the Unification church in 1974 in Seattle while attending the University of Washington. She considered this to be the most pivotal moment in her life and spent much of it trying to give back to the community she loved so deeply. She travelled widely as part of several MFT (mobile fundraising teams) teams and looked back fondly on these early days in the church. In 1980 she received her mission and spent 2 years in the USSR before she was detained and ultimately forced to flee. After returning to the USA she later received her second mission to the small African nation of The Gambia. In 2003 Pamela along with her son moved to South Korea (twice) before finding a long term home in Bridgeport, CT in 2006.

Pamela is survived by her son Tijan “TJ” and daughter-in-law Yuki, grandchildren Winter and Linden, brothers Bob and Bruce. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by an older brother and sister.
