The Little Things
by Christine Libon
In this life, while big things may be unattainable, the little things can often bring us much contentment. Small things that cater to one’s personal needs are not frivolous. For me, it is putting a fresh coat of white paint on the window sills, planning a window box full of brightly colored portulaca/purslanes for next season, cleaning a dirty spot from the carpeted stairs, tidying up the bed with a crisp, clean topsheet, improving my appearance by having a front tooth repaired, splurging on a pair of pink-toned dangle earrings, wearing a loose-fitting 100% cotton summer dress, or reading an enjoyable novel.
I hope you, too, indulge in some little things which can make a big difference by uplifting your mood. Take loving care.
