Testimony from Tamae Seto & Leo Paghubasan

Dear True Mother,

Our journey started way before we met with many challenges, finding our faith, doing conditions and finding ourselves, which eventually led to one another.

From my perspective (Tamae) going to a 40 day workshop in CheongPyeong was  a catalyst in my healing journey in being able to connect to what felt like the truest version of myself, while also becoming aware of suppressed and condemning feelings. This had sparked a determination to become the loving, sincere and capable person that Heavenly parents wanted me to be, by addressing my internal limitations.

From my perspective (Leo) going to Ocean Challenge in Kodiak was a large factor to continue in my own discovery and growth journey, which helped solidify my faith on a more personal level. There were many other factors that led to a lot of my own growth and allowed me to stand where I am today. These include different programs through High Noon, coaching and  my own individual prayer life.

We both felt a calling to help staff for the National Ocean Challenge Program the summer of 2025 as it had been a major part of both of our lives. Leo as the head chef and Tamae the hiking coordinator.

During the program, while everyone was out playing soccer, Tamae ended up injuring her knee and unfortunately was not able to continue guiding hikes. It was at this time when we started to connect more as friends and support each other. At the end of the program, Tamae felt a greater sense of curiosity, and a strong pull to connect on a deeper level. This prompted her to reach out and start working with a coach to address her internal limitations. Leo had recently ended a process and so spent time reflecting and setting conditions to digest and renew himself.

After a couple months we officially started a process, and found that we could easily talk for four hours over Zoom without feeling too drained. As we continued to communicate, many fears and insecurities kept coming up, that we had to honestly work through and express. These times allowed us to experience grace, acceptance, and allow us to receive each other for who we are. Having shared conditions together allowed us to connect on a deeper level and invite Heavenly Parent and True Parents into our process. It was actually towards the end of each condition where many obstacles came up that we had to face and overcome.

Our ability to face challenges and overcome obstacles eventually led us to commit to the Blessing. We found that the theme of trust and surrender really helped guide our process in trusting ourselves, trusting each other, trusting God and surrendering to the process and what is to come.

We are so excited to attend the Blessing in Korea, among so many Blessed couples, other families and our own parents. It has been truly amazing to receive the support of both our communities, and all the different resources from BFM. We are so excited to grow, learn, laugh, adventure and snack together!

Aju!
