Who should be trained as a Matching Supporter?
The ideal MS should feel called to this ministry, be trustworthy, a good listener, a patient communicator, and happily Blessed in marriage. He or she should also have a few hours per week of availability to devote to this ministry on an on-going basis. Supporters will be trained to help candidates and parents develop a clear plan for the matching process, assist them in finding potential candidates, and support them through the process as needed. The BFM will provide the handbooks, interview forms and support materials, and will train and certify Matching Supporters, according to the international guidelines. For more information read the Characteristics, Role and Responsibilities of Matching Supporters.
Younger Matching Supporters are in high demand. If you are a young Blessed individual with a passion for supporting individuals and families in the matching process, please consider attending the training and becoming a Matching Supporter. Your efforts can make a big impact.
Church leaders and pastors are not automatically qualified as MSs based upon their position alone. Each Supporter should be trained, become familiar with the guidelines and process, and be certified by the National Blessing and Family Ministry. They will work in cooperation with a network of Supporters, utilizing Family Matching Convocations and Family Matching Preparations, the international matching website for Blessed children, Matchbook, and the Online Matching System (OMS) for First Generation, in support of candidates and families.
