Dennis returned to college at NYU and Pratt Institute obtaining two more degrees. He began writing as a columnist for a New York newspaper on the arts and film industry.

He loved to travel and visited various countries. Dennis amassed a collection of artworks from counties he visited. These were some of his prized possessions.

In 1996, he met Mrs. Sung Bok Hsu at the age of 69. He studied the Divine Principle, the teachings of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, and became a member of the Unification Church. Encouraged by Mrs. Hsu, he sought the matching and blessing ceremony. Dennis was introduced to his wife, Keiko, a missionary at the time in Brooklyn, NY. They attended the 1999 Blessing Ceremony in New York City and began their life together. Dennis entered the Unification Theological Seminary in Barrytown, NY graduating in 2002. He and Keiko moved to Columbus, Ohio afterward upon the invitation of Mrs. Hsu.

In 2004, Dennis attended the Middle East Peace Initiative in Jerusalem gaining much inspiration. In 2005, he volunteered his services to the Hurricane Katrina clean-up. As a diabetic, he suffered a stroke upon his return to Columbus. In 2006, he had his second stroke. His health would slowly continue to decline for the next 13 years despite Keiko’s loving care.

It was a delight meeting and interacting with him in the years when he was responsive. He was full of life, love, and intelligence. He’s free now from the body that kept him so frustrated. May he have a great ascension
